Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook, reveals easy to master methods and her signature spiky blond tresses. Chef Burrell has also worked at many of the best restaurants within New York, studied the tradition of Italian cuisine, and the culinary landscape in Italy and competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stop to take after graduating with the Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. Chef Burrell who graduated from the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy completed a one-year stint in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. Through her stay in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophy of Italian cuisine and culture which made a lasting impression on her culinary point of view. Burrell was on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children's lives who have issues and also is a Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador. she promotes juvenile diabetes awareness. She travels frequently around the country in her role as a mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her career and love of cooking. Through the course of her cooking career, Anne has often said that I am very fortunate be able to share the passion I have within my life with other people.
